Oh, my! It has been a long time since I have updated my newsletter. Luckily, I have been sending daily reminders through text on Remind:)
Interims for the 4th ( & last) 9 weeks were sent home Friday. It is hard to believe that we only have a month left in the school year. Time flies when you have such an awesome group of students!!
We will finish out the year w/ our PARCC end of year tests and Social Studies AIR test. Students will take the Language arts test this Wednesday, and the Social Studies and Math the following week. We are confident that the students will do their best and show what they have learned this year!
We will finish out the year by reading the novel Riding Freedom. This is a heart-warming story about a woman who breaks the traditional model of a woman's role in the 1800's. The kids always enjoy the story and the activities that accompany it are a lot of fun!
In science we will finish our earth science unit this week and head into physical science. We will end the year dissecting worms!
Our field trip to Malabar farm, to celebrate Earth Day, was a lot of fun - despite the cold weather. This was our first field trip to Malabar, and it is one that the 4th grade plans to do every year. We will add a few of our own touches to the tour, but it is very educational, and a place where students can return to with their families!
Have a very happy week!
